A Mid-Winter Conference Committee was formed to investigate the feasibility and potential development of a professional development conference to be held mid-year for the Area XII teachers. This conference would be attended voluntarily by those teachers who are interested in it's program and professional development offering.

Two teachers per district were selected to form a steering committee to provide a broad-based approach to determine what types of information and professional development could best be offered to achieve the desired results. The committee will meet to develop a schedule, select a date, select a location site and begin preliminary development of the conference program.

The program will consist of breakout workshops that will provide information on selected topics of interest to teachers. The cost will be determined and supported by a registration fee.
