A talent competition is held each year in conjunction with the district, area and state conventions. Each District is allowed to select one team to represent the District at the annual Area Convention competition in May. An Area winner is selected to represent the Area at the State FFA Talent Contest which is held at the annual Texas FFA Convention in July.

FFA members showcase their talents and compete to advance to the next level. 

The national FFA also utilizes the talents of FFA members to entertain participants at the National FFA Convention and utilizes an audition process rather than a competition.
